StrongSuits® Certified Facilitator Training
Your teams already have everything they need.
This training gives you the language to unlock it.
Become a certified StrongSuits facilitator and run sessions that help teams see each other clearly, play to their strengths, and navigate stress patterns together.
The conversations that matter most often don't happen
You believe in strengths-based work. You've seen what happens when people are in their element: the energy, the ease, the results. But getting a team to talk honestly about what they're actually good at? That conversation often stays polite, abstract, or just doesn't happen.
And when someone is under pressure, when a strength gets overused and starts blocking the team, most groups don't have the language to name it. Let alone navigate it together.
StrongSuits gives you a concrete, playful, psychologically grounded tool to change that.
"Knowing your own strengths makes it easier to choose roles, communicate better, and avoid conflicts. And when we talked about our challenges openly, it became much easier to find solutions."
(Workshop participant)
"It didn't feel like a typical self-assessment — it was engaging, surprising, and even a little vulnerable."

A card game that does what most team exercises can't
Built on 52 carefully crafted workplace strengths, StrongSuits is a card game that gives teams a shared language for how they work together.
What makes it distinctive is how it treats difference. Most teams assume that what makes them strong is what they have in common. StrongSuits reveals the opposite: it's the diversity of strengths that drives real team performance, when each person knows how to contribute what they bring best.
It doesn't stop at the bright side either. StrongSuits opens up conversation about overplayed strengths and stress patterns, the behaviours that show up when a strength is pushed too far. Teams learn to spot these patterns in each other, name them without blame, and find their way back to the strength underneath. Light, fun, and genuinely insightful.

What changes after two days
After this training, you won't just have a new tool in your facilitation kit. You'll have a completely different kind of conversation available to you: one that's light enough to feel safe, and deep enough to actually change how a team works together.
Facilitate a full StrongSuits session confidently from setup through to debrief
Help teams name individual strengths and understand how those strengths combine
Explore stress patterns playfully: help people name them, laugh about them, and find their way back to their strengths
Use the StrongSuits Team Strengths Map to identify communication styles and potential conflict hotspots
"I realised that things that feel completely normal or easy to me can look very different to others and vice versa. My aha moment was how helpful it is to talk about these differences openly."

Four insights that change how teams work
StrongSuits draws on four well-established findings from positive psychology and team research, each of which you'll experience directly during the training.
People perform at their best when they play to their strengths
When people operate from their natural strengths rather than compensating for weaknesses, energy and performance increase. StrongSuits helps every team member identify and activate what they do best.
Diversity makes teams stronger
The strongest teams are not made up of people who think alike, they're made up of people whose different strengths complement each other. StrongSuits makes that diversity visible and valuable.
People interact and communicate in different ways
Communication breakdowns rarely come from bad intentions, they typically come from different styles. StrongSuits maps these styles across the team so people can understand each other and work together more effectively.
Our limitations hold the keys to our strengths
What looks like a weakness is often a strength that has been overplayed. StrongSuits helps people recognise these patterns and find their way back to the strength at the root of them.

Two days, two distinct journeys
The training is structured across two parts, each with a distinct focus. You begin as a participant, experiencing StrongSuits from the inside. Then you step into the facilitator role, with everything you need to run sessions confidently.
DAY 1
Experience StrongSuits as a participant
In part 1 you will experience the best of the StrongSuits Team Strengths and Team Insights workshops as a participant in the group. This will allow you to experience the power of StrongSuits as a group or team member.
You will experience theory and practice in small chunks, reflect on inspiring stories, work through fun games and exercises and focused group discussions.
DAY 2
Step into the facilitator role to gain confidence
In part 2 we will dive into facilitation practice for each topic and you will gain hands-on practice by facilitating games yourself and exchanging feedback with each other.
The goal is to give you the confidence and provide you with everything you need to get started right away using StrongSuits to build stronger teams and in one-to-one coaching.

It didn't feel like a typical self-assessment. It was engaging, surprising, and even a little vulnerable. Hearing from people I've actually worked with gave me a much more grounded perspective.
Workshop participant
Even with people I spend time with every day, I still learned new things. It was fascinating to see how others perceive their own strengths and how that compares to what you see from the outside.
